Nemâzın beş rüknünden birincisi kıyâmdır. Kıyâm, ayakda durmak demekdir. Ayakda duramıyan hasta, oturarak kılar, oturamıyan hasta, sırt üstü yatıp başı ile kılar. Yüzü, semâya karşı değil, kıbleye karşı olması için, başı altına yasdık konur. Ayakları Kıbleye karşı, dizlerini dikerek yatar. (İbni Âbidîn) diyor ki, (Sağlam bir kimsenin gemide, trende, hareket hâlinde, farzları oturarak kılması, İmâm-ı a’zama göre câizdir
