Mayaların tanrılar panteonunda ise Hanubka yüce tanrı olarak kabul edilirdi. Ayrıca güneş tanrısı İtzamna’ya ve kahraman kral tanrı Kukulkan’a inanılırdı. Yer altı âleminin efendisi ise Hunahpu idi. Mayaların inançları ve ibadet anlayışları da genelde Azteklere benzemekteydi; ancak onların geleneğinde insan kurbanı gibi törenlere fazla rastlanmadığı söylenmektedir
