Sicim teorisindeki sonsuz uzunluk ifadesi zaman niceliğine karşılık gelir. Sicimler zaman ve frekans parçacıklarıdır. Zaman değişimi evrensel olduğu için sicimler de evrenseldir. Sicim uzunluğunun alt sınırı planck uzunluğudur. Sonsuz uzunluk ifadesiyse sicim uzunluğunun üst sınırı için kullanılır. Sonsuz uzunluğa sahip olan şey uzay boşluğudur. Uzay boşluğu pozitronlardan ve pozitronlar sicimlerden oluşur.
